All About Skincare & Beauty Tips

Hey guys!

Many of you requested an updated skincare routine video but this time, I wanted to cover more. Skin shouldn’t just be about the products you use on your face. It’s also about lifestyle and diet as well.

I start my day with my skincare routine and I end my day with my skincare routine. It’s not a chore to me because I love it and it’s become part of my everyday lifestyle. I see it as a pampering treat.

There’s a misconception out there about me. Some of you think I have perfect skin (or near perfect). Trust me, my skin isn’t perfect. The camera and lighting can be so deceiving. My skin will never be perfect but it has improved a lot throughout the years. I guess it just took years for me to realize what works best for my skin.

Today, I’ll be sharing my skincare routine with you guys, I’ll also be sharing tips that I swear by to keep my complexion happy and also my skin massage routine to help lift and slim down the face.

I’m not skin expert, I’m just a girl that’s very interested in beauty & skincare like a lot of you guys out there. Does skincare HAVE to be a lot of effort? It can be I guess but not nessecary. I think cleansing and moisturizing is most important. Does everybody need 6-7 products on their skin? I guess not. Everybody is different and some will need to put in more effort, some don’t. As you can tell, I put in quite a lot of effort but I enjoy it. I know my skin will never be perfect because it’s not in my genes but let’s just work with what we have and try to make the best of it.

There’s days when I get bad skin too. I just try my best not to let it get to me. Stressing about it and touching the face repeatedly just makes things worse. I realized the best thing to do is to let my skin heal in it’s own time. As I get older, I realize it’s all about hygiene, diet and lifestyle too. Not just the products.

This video is pretty long because I tried to cram a lot of information in. I hope you guys don’t mind but will find it helpful swell.

I also hope this video inspires you to enjoy your skincare rituals.

1. Eat a Healthy Diet
A good diet doesn’t always result in acne-free or perfect skin, but it does promote a youthful look and feel. What you put in your body will certainly reflect on the outside. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables. Whole grains and lean meats will also keep your skin it’s healthiest.

2. Drink Water
To get a great complexion, you need to drink the recommended 8 glasses of water daily.

Your body is estimated to be about 60 to 70 percent water. To stay healthy, you need to stay hydrated.
Your skin is tied closely to your body’s health. Adequate water will surely reward you with a radiant complexion.

3. Get Plenty of Sleep
Believe it or not, sleep does more for your skin than most leading brands of skin care products. It is during peaceful nights of sleep that the highest levels of human growth hormones that are released into your blood stream. These hormones help stimulates cell regeneration in your skin and body.

4. Skin Care Routine
Cleanse your face with a gentle cleanser day and night, and try not to fall asleep wearing makeup. This will only clog your pores while you’re sleeping. Exfoliate with a gentle peeling gel. Facial scrubs are often harsh for the skin. This removes dead skin cells and reveals new ones, which keeps your skin healthy and looking great. Use a facial toner to balance your skins PH levels and then apply moisturizer to protect your skin from the environment.

5. Use Facial Mask
Regular or even daily use of facial masks is essential if you want to keep your skin looking and feeling its best. Of all of the skin care products, a facial mask is the most important, since it provides skin nutrient from the outside. When you take care of your skin from the inside, by what you eat and drink, and from the outside, by using masks, great things will happen surely.

6. Protect Your Skin
Protect your skin from the sun. Exposure to it can not only lead to skin cancer, but it also causes wrinkles, freckles, age spots and dry skin. Try to avoid being in the sun from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. because that’s when the sun’s rays are strongest. Also make sure your sun block is at least over SPF 15.

7. De-Stress
Most people don’t think about how stress affects their skin, but it can definitely take a toll. Stress can trigger breakouts and diminish your skin’s overall glow. Try working out and making time for things you enjoy, and your skin will reflect how well you are treating yourself!

8. Be Gentle
Be gentle with your skin. While cleansing, moisturizing and applying makeup every day, we often end up pulling, tugging and scrubbing too much for our delicate facial skin. We do not recommend facial scrubs. If you avoid treating your skin roughly, you can reduce the damage and number of wrinkles that will appear.

  4. Is facial massage good if you have acne? I've heard it can actually trigger breakouts, so I'm not sure if I should do it

  8. My skin looks and feels moisturized but i don't apply moisturizer nor drink like 8 bottles a day but my face really looks mousturized can somebody answer?

  9. To drink enough water you need to:
    1). Multiply your weight by 2/3
    2). Divide this number by 16 oz
    3). For Example:
    I14 lbs x 2/3
    76 divided by 16
    Is 4.75
    So, I drink 4 bottles of water everyday.

  11. Because when you get sun freckles when your young, as you get older they turn into blobs. My mom has one and it just looks like a discolored blob. Natural freckles are very pretty though. @catchingfire518
