Wow if only I knew these tips when I was young 😖 awesome video!
4 years of braces helped me to stop biting my nails lol
I was a severe nail biter during childhood, but stopped cold turkey on my 14th birthday and have had super strong long nails ever since 😀 It really is a bad habit that needs a good mind switch to get rid of. But if I could do so, everyone can <3 <3
I used to bite my nails when I was a Teenager. I had bad Anxiety, I was Raped/Molested at the age of 9 until I was almost 14. I stopped biting them after I found out I was pregnant with my 1st son at the age of 18 🙁.
I actually woke up 1 morning & every habit I had was gone. I didn't have morning sickness either 😁. I just started trying to fit into my pants I grew quickly 😊.
What helped me stop biting my nails was nail art. After buying a gel kit and lots of nail art gel and accessories I stopped because I wanted pretty and longer nails.
I bit my nails since I had teeth and just stopped this year! I tried to stop a few times before and this last time noticed that my problem was that I thought I had to have beautiful long nails immediately, so I would get acrylics, let them grow and have them removed so that my natural nail was already long, but they where thin and fragile and I ended up biting them anyway, so this last time I did the exact same thing I got acrylics, grow them out, got them removed and immediately cut my nails super short so I wasn't able to bite them, I applied vitamins and oils and trim them every time they grew until the where thick enough to hold their own, this took me around 7 months, but now I love my nails and hands and is such a personal achievement for me, another tip I use now, is that I carry a file on my purse so I can file down anything that makes me want to bite in the moment and ALWAYS wear nail polish, so anytime I get anxious or stressed I pull the polish instead of biting 🙂 <3
Our nail length and shape are exactly the same but my nails are more transparent ☹️ Is there any way I can get my nails to grow thicker and more opaque like yours?
I feel like videos like these would work better if a former nail biter made them. Because gorgeous Hannah has beautiful, long and healthy nails all the time, it is not be as relatable and she isn’t able to give an accurate representation on how products work or don’t work with nail biters. It isn’t an accurate representation of the urges we nail biters do face, and that urge can be so strong that not even bitterness stops us. And we do want to stop it. I couldn’t help but chuckle when Hannah mentioned that “it tastes terrible and it would definitely stop me in my tracks if I had the urge to bite”, because that is not the reality nail biters face. Although this treatment may work for particular people with that type of conditioning psychology, it certainly doesn’t work for a lot of others. I hope this criticism is taken well just for future reference and thanks so much for your beautiful videos Hannah xx
I have a tip!
Get expanders or braces! Trust me, you don’t wanna bite your nails with them. One word…pain.
