Part 3 in my “Laying the Foundation” series. Parts one and two showed applications using a stippling brush and fingers. So far I’ve only done liquid- but I will move on to other forms! ALSO– the gel bronzer used is called Bonne Bell Gel Bronze!

I understand this is an old video but the concept of been able to "darken" your foundation it is very interesting. I will need to check if this products or similar are in the market
Never dry, always damp.
Yes, always use a damp sponge.
Try mixing foundation & bronzer with your moisturizer on the back of your hand then massage into your skin as you would normally apply your moisturizer. You will have light coverage that looks natural then apply your powder.
Always use a sponge damp. They are not intended to be used dry. A damp sponge will not absorb product like a dry sponge will do. I have rosacea and I always bounced or stippled the damp sponge loaded with foundation on my areas that needed more coverage, or areas that had larger pores and this technique covered redness and pores beautifully. I would blend outwards always stippling my sponge over my jaw and down my neck.
I dont really like using foundation because im not good at it. Do you recommend just using the gel bronzer with a moisturizer? i just recently bought the sam gel bronzer and have no idea how to use it unless it was used with foundation, but then again, i dont use foundation much.
Do you wet your sponge before you put the foundation on it ?
the sponge is supposed 2 b dry or damp?
You're so lovely. <3
hey emily what is your favorite mineral foundation? thanks i have combination and acne prone skin
ur prettier without make up. God..
I have that foundation!;DD
@nellywellyful you should stipple. The beauty blender is a sponge which requires no dragging at all on the skin. It is kinda expensive though and they have knock offs. You could try that. Hope I helped ^-^
@nellywellyfull i remember watching a video that said brushes can act as an exfoliant on dry skin. It actually causes the flakes, and since your adding the foundation, the flakes stay on your skin causing it to look flaky
i heard that for dry skin it is better to apply foundation with a sponge.. so this is why i came across this video. everything on my face when i apply liquid foundation with a brush is fine until we get to my forehead. my forehead looks really flakey & weird
any tips as to how to fix this?? i would really appreciate it!!

Hi, I really like your videos. Do you think it's possible to stipple with a wet triangle sponge, kind of like with the beauty blender sponge or the sonia kashuk one ?
a quick tip is to dampen your sponge a little so the sponge doesn't absorbs as much foundation.
