1. Any tips if your dominant with one hand than the other? I'm right handed and can paint my nails then with my left hand is harder

I worked at a nail salon during the summer as a receptionist and here are some tips to add: 1. make sure the polish your working with is not too liquid or too thick and spread the polish quickly and evenly. The polish dries and becomes thick in the bottle while you "take your time" trying to maneuver the paint brush on your nail. 
   2. Polishes like "ballet slippers" and and "waltz" from Essie will be painted streaky and weird if you use this technique. The most important part of this technique is making sure when you take our the brush+polish out of the bottle, one side has to be as polishless as you can make it. This is so that you have more control over the way you paint around the nail beds. 
   3. Don't press too hard on the nail with your brush while painting because this spreads the polish away from the brush in both directions. Paint as lightly/ weightlessly as you can going from one side to the other on the nail. If you practice a bit more, you can spread your polish like how the nail techs do.

11. Thank you for sharing. I have been going to a manicurist to get a nail polish change a week after I get my nails done. You just saved me a lot of money from this tutorial. I'll still get my manicures but in that second week when I take off my polish and put on another color!

12. i always have trouble figuring out how MUCH polish to put on the brush, I find that in the middle of painting a nail I often have to dip the brush again, and my polish starts to get gloppy. any suggestions on this?

13. WOW! I realized several things. First of al I don;t always let my hand rest on a surface- d'uh! I also realize that I act as if it is some sort of a race lol and also do not wait to dry before the other hand .- this is awesome!

29. Never shake your polish, it adds air and it can bubble. You should turn it upside down and roll it between your hands.
